Hi,
We are on PPM5.0. We have a cProjects project for every Item that we create.
We are looking for a way to create an item having the corresponding project structure imported from MSP file.
One way we can do it is to first import an MSP project into cProjects, create standalone Item, and link the two.
But I remember a way (from cPr-RPM 4.5) by which we were able to create a RPM item and simultaneosly import the MSP file as a cProjects project.
Please advise how we can create a PPM item and simultaneously create a PPM Project importing from MSP File.
Thanks.

Hi,
The note makes mention of Item link with MSP but does not elaborate any further.
Can someone list the steps:
- Back end config. (if any)
- Front end steps to realize it
As stated earlier, we are looking at creating an item and then importing the MSP Project into PPM by which the item is linked to the newly created PPM Project (created from MSP).
One way, we know, to do it is to create a standalone Item. Then import MSP into PPM as a standalone Project, and then link the PPM item and Project. But we are looking at simultaneous creation of Item with linkage to the project imported from MSP.
Thanks.
