PPM ITEM COPY

Hi All

Query is regarding Copy item if already there is an item with a project template. is there any copy item functionality for user to copy the item. hence he can reduce the creation of item and project creation (similar to copy project in sap PS). Kindly help

Hi Gopi.

Yes there is. It's a standard functionality.

Here it is.

You can access it from inside the item you want to copy. Right click on the "You can also" dropdown and select "Copy to new item". Following the process the item is copied completely.

If it does not work you should take into account SAP note 2602704 - "Copy to New Item" does not copy item name, notes and texts.

A Portfolio Item can be linked to a Project (PPM or PS project) through object linking. But this is not copying an Item. Pease give more details.

There is standard functionality to create a new item by copying. Please give more details on why this isn't working.

Thanks for reply i m having an item and project individual without link. Can I link the project definition to item definition.
