Hi Experts,
I know Portfolio Management have decision points assigned to an Item or Initiative.
Those decision points are mapped and gets created as "Phase" in Project Management or/and "WBS" in PS as a part of Integration.
But, I am unable to understand that decision points do not have levels or creates as a hierarchy unlike WBS elements in PS.
When we integrate PPM item to Projects in PS or Projects in Project Management, those decision points must be created as phased or WBS on same level (i.e. level 1).
How does it fit to Phase or WBS elements hierarchy (levels)?
In that case, I think a user need to further build an hierarchy manually (WBS at lower levels) in PS or Phases in Project Management.
Is my understanding correct?
If I suggest to my client, create a project using Std. WBS in PS, create an Portfolio item manually, Create a corresponding project (only Project definition) in Project Management and then link that Project in Project Management to Project in PS and further Synchronization in between them. Is that correct way?
Kindly suggest.

Dear Sandeep,
The system isn´t creating the wbs-elements from scratch based on the Portfolio Item with the decision points.
In the customizing you have to define the assignment between "Decision point" and the corresponding "wbs-element" which is used as template. (Portfolio Management > Global Customizing > Portfolio-Independent Settings > Map Item Type to Project or PS).
Best regards,
Judith
