PPM BASIS Question - SM59 RFC connectivity test fails

Hi All,

This is for PPM 6.1 initial configuration. (Portfolio and Project Management component). My question is at the end.

I have got a new installed PPM 6.1 instance which I have started configuring (functional).

I am following the Config guide for the same.

I need to set up the SM59 Destinations and Portal System Aliases. This is on page 20 of the Config guide (SAP Portfolio and Project Management 6.1 SP01 – February 2015)

I am not having an Enterprise Portal. I am using "Without Enterprise Portal" and HTTP only setup (not HTTPS).

Following needs to be done

Define the aliases listed below as SM59 destinations of type ‘H’ (HTTP)

SAP_cProjects and SAP_RPM:

Both should point to the SAP Portfolio and Project Management back-end system itself.

However the RFC connectivity test is failing - Please see screen shots attached.

I have activated all the required services as per config document and following note also

517484 - Inactive services in the Internet Communication Framework

How can I troubleshoot further?

Path Pre-fix was missing. This path needs to be derived from services (sicf) and set here. Also a user id and password was set. This resolved the issue.

Hi Ashwini,

We are also facing the same error. Could you please let us know which services need to be checked to get the path prefix?
