PPM 5.0 - Project Launchpad

Hello,

we have installed the new IDES with EHP 5 and PPM 5.0.

I have some problems with the Project Launchpad in role SAP_BPR_PPM.

When i logon with NWBC and try to open a project out of the launchpad, i get the following message:

The URL call http://xxx.yyy.z:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/ was terminated because of an error.

Web Dynpro application // does not exist

The same problem for all cprojects related launchpads (Tasks / ...).

Now the strange:

When i start the NWBC in my browser via http://..../nwbc and try to open the project from the SAME launchpad - it works flawlessly.

Somebody got an idea how to solve this?

Hi,

Check if the right roles are assigned to the user.

Hi,

beside the SAP_ALL profile i have several roles in my user:

SAP_BCV_ADMIN

SAP_BCV_USER

SAP_BPR_PPM

SAP_CPR_BCV_USER_COMP

SAP_RPM_BCV_USER_COMP

SAP_XRPM_USER

But i dont think that is a problem with roles...

As i said: NWBC native -> doesn't work / NWBC in IE -> works (same user / same launchpad / same cProject Project...)

Hi,

Can you refer config document of PPM 5.0 from SAP marketplace.

Master Guide for SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0, section "Navigation" pp. 29-30, see also SAP Note 1406591 (which you already found). Also see the SAP Note 1377082.

I believe this will solve your problem

Hi,

i havent found any solution to my problem. Notes and Config Guide couldnt fix problems. And again: in NWBC Desktop the navigation für cProjects Elements fails. In NWBC Internet Explorer the same launchpad works.

Hi,

Check the version of your NWBC Desktop application. It has to be NWBC for Desktop 3.0.

Iinstall NWBC client again and try it.
