PLMSI public cloud

Dear experts,

One of our clients is in doubt whether PLMSI in a public cloud setup, supports data transfer like vendors from SAP to Teamcenter and supports reserving and fetching SAP material numbers in TC. Anyone has experience with these topics?

Hello Martijn,

PLMSI is part of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition since version 2308, supporting also vendor management (sending vendor data from an external PLM system like Siemens Teamcenter to S/4HANA as business partner). The customer needs to have the license "PLM system integration for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition" and activate the scope item 6U2 (see https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/f369b2eff700401494ba6e7c9a573288/4c05fe57755546318478dc70...).

After creating a communication scenario, this functionality is enabled, together with the corresponding add-on on PLM side like "SAP Teamcenter by Siemens, Gateway for PLM system integration" (also known as "T4ST").
