Plant "phased" roll out of SAP S4/HANA for Product Compliance

Dear SAP S4/HANA for Product Compliance

My customer is a multi-company conglomerate and is now considering a "phased" roll out (and go live) of SAP S4/HANA for Product Compliance (PC and PMA) by plant: first "1100", then "1200" and so on. 

EDIT: All of this different companies are all on the same system, with their own plant code. It's S/4HANA on-prem, 2023 release, and it's PC "new". 

How can I make this work? Is it possible with SAP S4/HANA for Product Compliance?

It might be a silly doubt at this point, but humbly request your assistance.

Do you want to run the new S/4HANA for Product Compliance solution or some classical solution like SAP Product and REACH Compliance or Product Safety under S/4HANA?

Assuming you want to run S/4HANA for Product Compliance (new): This can for sure work. But it depends a bit on our current SAP System Landscape:

If all plants are on the same S/4HANA systems, there is no issue.

If the plants are on different S/4HANA systems you would need to run S/4HANA for Product Compliance on these different systems. The reason is, that so far a 'distributed' scenario - meaning a central S/4HANA for Product Compliance system and multiple logistics system - is currently not supported. Support for this will come in 2025.

sorry to say.. this is not possible.... The activation of PC (Product Compliance) (and therefore move from EHS Classic to PC) can only be done by "process" (and not by plant, company code or whatever similar criteria)

PS: Best knowlegde on my side: something like you would like to get is not on the roadmap of SAP and from my point of view will not come to the Roadmap of PC solution

PPS: honestly: this question you could ask SAP:

What i could imagine which might work (but please ask SAP): you have one S/4 HANA system: You have two clients. In Client X you use EHS Classic and in Client Y PC; but if this help... no idea

All of the different companies are all on the same system, with their own plants code. It's S/4HANA onprem, 2023 release, and it's PC "new". 

I admit I don't know how to do this, though... still a bit new to SAP I suppose.

now to many topics are now "mixed" with each other. 

I try to exlpain step by step

1.) EHS Classic => Here you can do ALE between systems etc

2.) Product Compliance => currently no support is available for a SAP distributed landscape, The topic is on SAP Roadmap

3.) You can only acticate Product Compliance by "process". With 2023 i you can e.g. only activate "DG" but not the rest etc. and for the rest you can use EHS Classic in parallel (but you can not use PC DG and EHS Classic DG solution parallel).

BUT if you activate PC (for whatver subfunction") you must use PC (and you can not use EHS Classic) any more

The topic you are highlighting (plant code based roll out (or company code or similar object) is not supported and i can see no chance to get this

So the "3E Adpater" and the SAP solution can help to use EHS classic and PC in parallel

So we have to wait fo SAP; next on premise version will come roughly 2025; what we will get.. we will see..
