Hi,
For a particular requirement, I need to pick the pictogram from wwi server (graphic folder) using a valid combination of Mat# & Spec# from a custom table.
I am getting an issue that the pictogram is being picked from the local machine rather than then wwi server - graphic folder. I am re-evaluating if it is at all possible.
I am not using Phrase and just using the symbol for my custom table and field to expand the pictogram.
Does anyone work on such a scenario?
Thanks
Nitin
Hello nitin_pandey,
Most likely you did use a parameter symbol - as you want the logic to be material dependent.
Parameter symbols are only resolved in the final report - hence it is generated on your local WWI installation when you view the report.
However when it is sent via report shipping, the final report is generated via WWI Server and it should find the graphic. But if you click on the SDS in report shipping - it will again re-generated the document using your local WWI. So make sure to check the actual email that is actually sent out.
A good way to workaround
the display issue from CG50 / CG54 / CVD1 is to deploy a synchron WWI Server -
this way the final reports are generated on the WWI server as well.
Anothe option is to use a common networkfolder for WWI grahpic and you use that
for the WWI server and local WWI installations.
Hope that helps
Mark

Hello
sorry we need more details. What type of symbol do you use? (specification symbol ? parameter symbol)
What action you have tried to check?
CG50 ? / CG54 / CG02 (report from template); CG42 ?
Please be more specific
C.B.
PS: keep in mind: the graphic file must be available on local maschine and generation server farm and the content must be the same. If not: then in many cases e.g. a "Report from template" process is not possible.
For which purpose you need ot extract the document? Do we talk about a "WWI" document? SmartForm / SapScript document or Adobe document?
