Hi All /CB,
How can we suppress phrases with missing translations from printing "phrase language not available.. " error and instead print out in source language maintained within the phrase header.
Can this be achieved using variant configuration .
In acceptance to argument provided in thread
https://answers.sap.com/questions/9781837/phrase-language-in-reports.html
business is in the process of identifying and maintaining missing translations but there is a very large number of phrases and translations, till that time looking for a solution .
To Rephrase - 1st priority is to print out in Language Provided while generating report & if its missing to print in Phrase Header Language (generally its maintained in English)

Hello
for "phrase" handling in WWI reports: you need to understand some basics
A phrase has a structure like: Code, Text, Graphic etc.
In WWI Process only if the "Text" is missing for corresponding language you will get a "generation with warning"
Errors like "phrase language not available.." does have (if i remember correct= other reasons)
I am surprised regarding your sentence:
"business is in the process of identifying and maintaining missing translations but there is a very large number of phrases and translations"
This might be true if you do not use e.g. SERC content
But you need to differentiate phrases used as Descriptor symbol from other phrases.
Normally the company acting does have some process in place to handle new phrases and the needed translations.
How the business would have like to support a "go live" for SDS/MSDS printing if more than e.g. > 20% of phrases (as used) are not translated.. i can not judge on (but it is not a good idea)
First of all: it is a very bad idea to use "EN" if the document should be "DE". This is not legal (at least for SDS/MSDS).
So you should not "program" something to avoid the message but just the business must translate.
As simple as possible!
The same is true for "Labels". From legal perspective. YOU MUST USE THE CORRECT LANGUAGE on a label as well.

Hello Keshav ,
Descriptor symbol will use always the generation variant language, this cannot be converted into Phrase Header language.
For Parameter symbol you can control with WWI template logic .
