Phase Status Issue

Hi

When we release the project the phase below the project also change the status from Create ---> Released.

but in some case it don,t change the status it will remain in Create status . Any one have any idea why system shows such behavior or is there any table entry missing . SAP note to improve such things.

E.g.

Project : SUN AX1010 D --> Release

Phase : CANCEL_PENDING --> Create ( it should be release as we release the project)

Hi Sunil,

Please go through Phase setting

Release Successor Phase Only After Approval
If you set this indicator, you can only release a subsequent phase if the current phase has the status Approved.
If you do not set this indicator, the system only checks whether the current phase has already been released when releasing the subsequent phase.

Are you using stage gate methodology?

Please check Phase setting for both project

Hi Ravindra,

Phase is below the project Defination.Its 1st phase.

When we Released the Project the phase Below the project definition must be Released.

And it not working in my case.

99 % project it works fine since its sap standard function but in 1 % it not working.

Hi Sunil,

has a Phase Type been maintained? Unless this has been done the phase can't be released, but a respective message should be shown in the log. Is the log free of any such messages?

hello,

cProjects works on stage gate methodology. One u release project first phase of projects gets automatially released. The successor Phase of this phase gets relased only after all te tasks and checklist Items are released / completed.

I agree with you But I if project phase is not Released , How the Task or checklist are Released both are also in Created status.

If any one have the SAP note on this please provide us
