Person Responsible

Hello PPM Gurus,

Is there any way we can key in Person Responsible either as a Business Partner or Normal text on Portfolio, Portfolio Buckets and Portfolio Items? we have been looking around tab "Miscellaneous"->Authorizations->Users etc.

You can connect a business partner to the Item - indirectly - as follows:

You connect an Item to an associated cProject definition via object link. The cProject definition has standard fields for responsible role / responsible resource. Create at least one role type and assign it to the project type for the cProject. Use this role type to create one or more roles in your cProject under the "resources" tab. Create a business partner and assign the business partner to the role that you assigned to your cProject.

The resulting information can be extracted to BI for reporting etc.

As an alternative to creating a cProject and linking it to the Item, if you are making use of the Initiative object, then you could take advantage of this as it has the same role / BP functionality as a cProject Definition. Look under the "Miscellaneous" tab on the Initiative.

Assigning a business partner to a portfolio bucket presents more of a problem as there is no standard link to business partners (if there is, its well hidden). Let me know if you find a solution!
