Hello Everyone,

We are having an issue with the MII side wherein the processing of iDocs takes very slowly. The picture below shows the iDoc count dashboard wherein it started increasing from 11:03am onwards and iDoc is slowly clearing in the side of the graph. We were having multiple lock entries which exceeded 2000+ and upon checking in SM13, there are no any update requests. Also, we performed checks on RFC connection from MII to the ECC and connection test is ok. We also checked background processing jobs and there were none and most of it were finished already. We wanted to know what other issues which might be causing this iDoc issue to slowly drop the processing rate and even if deleting manually the Sm12 lock entries, it keeps on coming back and increasing.

Thank you in advance for the support.

How are you processing the IDocs? Are their contents being moved to a database? Is that database where the locks are occurring? What kind of IDocs are you processing? Are these custom or standard IDocs?

What version of ERP are you working with (S/4HANA or something else)? What version of MII are you working with? Is this SAP ME, SAP PEO, SAP DMC or just plain vanilla MII?

Are these IDocs generated by Change Pointers? If multiple types of IDocs which ones are getting stuck?

Regards, Mike

Hi Mike,

MII is processing and sending iDocs every minute to ECC but ECC is not sending back the idoc number to MII. We checked the inbound and outbound queues there is no any errors as well as in SM58 transaction RFC queues. But we did check that there are no deadlocks but there are many applications waiting for Locks. We did see a CPU utilization that is consuming 13hrs and we killed it but still the lock entries are exceeding to 4000+. as of the moment we are still in process on what is the root cause of this. I checked in WE02, most of the idocs status there are green. Do you have anything in mind ? Your help would be much appreciated. TIA!

If no custom code is implied, you should check the SAP notes or contact the SAP support.
