PCo Errors

We are using MII 12.2.4 to read values from Phoenix Contact PLCs.  We have a Phoenix OPC server running on our PCo box that PCo talks to.  We are using version 2.1.6.1 of PCo.

We are getting errors in the PCo log that are related to tags that we are not intentionally reading.  They are in the same tag group that we are reading from but we are not specifying the particular tags that are showing up with errors in the log.

My question is this, when a tag query is executed in an MII transaction, does it retrieve the entire tag group first and then get the particular tags that are specified in the query?

Hi Michael,

do you think it could be related to design time and the fact that when you are creating a tag query, you are selecting the tags from the whole group.

Are you seeing that both at run time and design time?

Hi Michael,

According to mu understanding, when you run a tag query, MII would only fetch the data for the tags which are selected in the tag query.

Also you can create directly PCo query for fetching the values from PCo Agent in place of using tag query.
