PCo and RSlinx Tags

Hi to all,

I read that PCo connector (2.2 version and older) have some problem to read tags from RSLinx OPC server. I haven't found nothing about solution (SAP note or patch) about this problem, the suggestion was to use UDS 4.0.

Could be possible install both programs on the same machine?

What are the difference between UDS and PCo connector?

Andrea,

The next release of PCo, 2.3, which is in Beta now and scheduled to enter Ramp Up in November 2012, now supports OPC Tag Browsing for Rockwell OPC Servers.

It is possible to install both UDS 4.0 and PCo on the same machine.  UDS is a query interface only while PCo supports both Query and Notification interfaces.

Very useful know the diffference between UDS and PCO.

In my scenario i have to intercept the change of a tag so i need a PCo that works fine.

I wait for new version of PCo.
