Order creation in Functional Location

Dear Experts-

I need to create a Maintenance Order with Functional Location and the Functional Location has equipments assigned. I need the miantenance order to have all equipment's linked to functional location in the Maintenance Order.

I also dont think there is a standard way of automatically assigning all of the equipments below a FLoc into the Object List tab.

As Oscar points out, there are reporting/costing implications of using this functionality anyway.

So, if you did want to do this, then it would need ABAP development. And this could be quite tricky as you would need to consider:

• Manual creation of the order
• Creation via maintenance plan (where the maintenance item aslo has an object list)
• What happens to open orders if there are additiona/deletions/status changes of the equipment in the FLoc structure.
• Multi-level Floc sructure with associated equipment
• Sub-equipment

I do not think it is available as a Standard Functionality. You will have to customize to pick all the Equipment automatically into an Object List when you create a work order for Functional Location.

Maybe you can use "Object" tab into maintenance order? Here you can assign equipment master record:

I honestly don't understand why you would need to have all of the equipment as part of the order. However, Yauheni is right, just keep in mind that in your list reports you will only see the functional location and the first equipment record that you selected.
