NPV , Payback period calculation in SAP PPM 6.0

Hi.

We are using SAP PPM 6.0 . SAP has provided for automatic calculation of KPI values such as NPV, IRR, ROI and Payback period.

However, there is some difference in the values calculated by SAP and calculated in Excel . What could be the cause of the same ? Could this be because cash inflow & outflow amounts are stored in a particular way in SAP that is different from Excel?
