Hi Krishna,

The notification status is a substance property in which is specified whether tis substance, whether mixture or pure substance, is permitted to be used within a certain jurisdiction, whether or not import is permitted and whether any restrictions apply. So you can check in EH&S whether you are e.g. permitted to import a certain product into South Korea or Japan.

Thank you Ralph,

Also how do we handle the different statuses . Will this information comes from Content provider or someone will have to figure it out and manually put the status . Also during sales order creation how the system will act as a block or premit depending upon the status of notification status . IS there any mechanism which we can set up to do compliance checks for this ?

Hi Krishna,

There are content providers who provide that sort of data. For which substances and which regulatory lists is, of course, different from provider to provider.

The notification data in EH&S themselves do not block a sales order creation. For this, I guess a development is needed. I think compliance checks can read and evaluate the notification data, but I don't have the necessary background about them to confirm this.

Dear Krishna

to take care the "notifiation status" using SAP EHS solutions you can

a.) buy content to load on LIST_SUB etc. level (this is only an option)

b.) buy rule sets to calculate the status on REAL_SUB level (this is only an option)

c.) and you can use this information if needed and applicable for SAP ERP process (blocking of a process)

Check e.g.:
