Dear All,

I am using SAP PPM S4 2020. PPM and S/4 Hana PS modules are within one server.

I would like to transfer the planned cost from the PPM Item to created PS project. When I press on "Transfer to SAP ERP", I am getting the below error.

The Item type is linked to PS Project. PS project is created from item automatically based on the saved template. I have maintained the below setting in financial views.

Could you advise me where I am missing with configuration? and

how I can know if the PS project created is linked to the corresponding item so this budget transfer can possible?

Regards

That's an Authorization error. You or the RFC user are not authorized to run CJ20N. For each user check SU53 right after the auth failure.

For a properly linked project you should see 2 things on the Item screen. There should be a new tab in the menu called Project. Click the drop down and it will take you to CJ20N, etc.

And if you look at the Relationships, Object Links tab you'll see the project connected.

In your PS Project template make sure the Planning Element is checked on the WBS.

Dear Ken,

Thank you for your response. Just to mention, my business requirement is to create and link PS project directly to PPM item and not via PPM Item-> PPM Project-> PS Project

Though I have created a PS project from the PPM item and my top-level WBS has a planning element checked, I am not able to see the project under the relationship->object link tab or as mentioned new Tab in the menu to called project.

Also, when I am trying to add manually the project in Relationship-> Object link I am getting the below error.

Am I missing any link to configure PS as I feel my SAP PPM and PS are not linked?

Plz advise.

Dear Ken,

I have updated the "Define Object Link Type" SPRO setting and linked the logical system. With this, now I can able to manually add the PS project in PPM Item as below.

but I am not able to see a new tab in the menu called Project. to take me CJ20N, etc.

In either case, still I am getting same error when hit "Transfer to SAP ERP" as mentioned in initial message.

Plz advise if possible.

Dear Ken,

I have made changes as per 2720349_E_20211108 along with additional settings mentioned in the note under wiki section.

Now, I am getting the menu as needed.

Also, I have added the project under relationship-> object links. But issue is when I clicked on menu Project-> PS Project I am getting the below error.

Any pointers, what coul be reason for this?
