Hi all ,

I need to impliment EH&S module.

i have document for that but 1st part which is related to WWI i am not able to understand.

pls help me with this whom i need to contact??

Is this responsibilty belongs to Basis team??

Hi Sandeep,

Installtion and running of WWI server in itself is a big topic.

But I believe that Basis team role would be limited to defining RFC for your WWI server.

As a EH&S consultant one should know to run the latest WWI installtion file and also there are other customizing settings required for WWi server.

Request you to go through the WWI server implementation guide which will help you understand the topic thoroughly.

Hey Sandeep,

normally you have two types of installations to be done if you would like to use EH&S WWI software. Additionally to what has been said/explained:

a.) you need a number of WWI generation servers (Word pAckage, PDF package, printer drivers etc.) and this RFC conncetion which is mentioned (Keep in mind Unicode topic!!). The number of WWI servers is dependent on the "size" of your system and on your general set up. If you are using or plan to use EH&S GLM you need more WWI servers. So you need to know: how many reports will be generated roughly by day by an enduser and how many reports need to be "printed"/"Shipped" in report distribution process per day; Later on (this is important !!) you need an ongoing support regarding this WWI topic because that is critical

b.) you need a local set up of a WWI on your client (on any client of a user who would like to display a WWI document).

If you are planning to use ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 3 you have more options i the area of WWI setup

Keep in mind that if you would like to use EH&S in this area some set up need to be done additionally (may be) in the area of Document management etc. because using WWI you will generate documents which are stored in DMS. Furthermore if you would like to use "inbounds" you need Adobe etc. on the generation server etc.)

Keep in mind that before you can use really WWI you need to have a basic set up of EH&S. That means you need report symbols etc. etc. etc.
