Need a Co-Product Indicator in Production order without BOM

Hi All,

We need a Co-Product indicator for manually add components in Production order without BOM.

We have maintained the Co-Product indicator in material master MRP VIEW 2, after that if we add the same component in the production order BOM manually, It has not shown a co-product indicator for that component, it is showing to consumed in 261 movement types.

Please suggest.

I have the same issue because my customer hopes to add co-product materials directly to the production order. This happens because the customer cannot predict the co-product materials that will appear during the production process due to the many possible co-product outcomes.

As we are going to upload the components through the excel sheet for the production order. and every time the component is different. but we are making sure that the co-product indicator is maintained in material master MRP2 View before uploading for production order.

For that, we are not maintaining the BOM for header material with Co-Product Indicator.

Hi Kiran

By standard you must add co-product component to the main product . These are preriquisites

1. The Co-product indicator must be active in the material master of the co-product (MRP area)
2. The co-product must be included as an item in the bill of material of the main product
3. The Co-product indicator must be active in the General Data field group on the Basic Data tab page of the BOM item.

What is the reason why you add co product item manually in production order?
