Hi all,
It is possible it seems a stupid question but it is very important for us. We would like to know advantage/ disadvantage using multilevelcontrolling versus internal order.
From ERP point of view :
- Posiblility see actual/planned/budget at task level (multilevel)
- Availability control at task level (multilevel)
From cproject point of view???
Thanks a lot for your help,
Sara
Request clarification before answering.
My requirement is using WBS structure instead of a internal order, in order to see actual and planned costs (ECP) by tasks. The problem I have found is that I have no found the way to see this detail in cprojects ( Actual cost and planned cost different from time) at task level. I know this information is in the ERP but I expected cost planned in ECP upload to cprojects at task level instead of at project level and Evaluation shows me a detail of costs by task.
My questions now are :
Is it possible upload costs from ECP to cprojects at task level using multicontrolling?
Is it possible see in evaluation actual and planned cost different from time at task level using multicontrolling?
Thank tou very much for help me to solve my doubts

Hi Pramod,
We have configured Cprojects with internal orders, now we are looking for using WBS in order to have costs in different elements. The first problem we have seen is costs planned in ECP at WBS levels are only showed in cproject at project level. Now we are trying to see this information in Evaluations but I only obtain actual/planned costs at first level.
I know the additional functionality PS vs internal orders in the ERP. But Really I would see this detail in cprojects , is it possible?
Thanks a lot and sorry for so many questions.

hi,
if u r using Single object Internal order the cost will be seen at project definition level only in cProjects. I am not aware of assumptions u r using for CPR PS integration with single object I/O but I believe that to get WBS cost to CPR tasks we have to use multilevel controlling.
if possible please share the reason for using Internal order in place of multilevel hierarchy controlling in your scenario for my knowledge.

Hi Pramod,
Thanks a lot for your help ,but using PS could the cprojects user see actual/planned/budget at task level( in cproject no with ERP link) ?
I think from CATS the behaviour it is the same. Employee can only enter hours in tasks assigned to him , and these hours are tranferred to cporjects to the corresponding task, is this correct?
Thanks a lot,
Sara

hi,
there are options for having type of cPR and accounting integration. If use Single object internal order the all the values will be at proj definitiona only. If u use multiobject Internal/hierarchy controlling u will get values at task level.
yes by using CATs u will have actuals (actual time and cost) to your task / project role.
Pramod
hi,
this is to answer your previous as well as this query. i suppose u r using internal order at project definition level so u r getting evaluation at Proj def. level. if u r trying CPR PS integration, I suggest to go for multilevel heirarchy controling. This will give you budget / planned / actual cost at task level.
