MSDS: Report generation error for specific country & for a particular specification

Hi All,

I am getting this MSDS report generation error for specific country & for a particular specification. Facts are,

• Same specification other country MSDS are working fine.
• Other specification using the same MSDS template & generation varaint are running fine.
• The windows error pop up msg come only when it is run for a specific country which says,

"An error has occurred when generating the report, You will find further information about the error in the file:

C:\users\username\AppData\Local\temp\lehsfil0.txt

The File shows 2 errors for logo not found & one below is particularly for special symbol appearing too many times,

E999 General error occurred (Too many '{') Current Symbol is: '13ENG058'

The 2 logos error seems to be for the particular country which are not found, but the general error for too many '{' seems to be some system error due to unicode error in the INI file, thats what i think so.

Can anyone of you had similar errors & can help me solve this.

Dear Nishant,

The latest release of WWI Sp is SP32. This patch has many corrections and also include tools for label management also. Before you install this patch, make sure, the component is also updated in EHP.

Hi  Nishant,

Would you please describe the WWI infrastructure using in your client? ( version and WWI SP release ) ? This error occurs sporadically and sometime randomly. anyway

Whenever you are generating the reports in report information system or report management you will receive the following message from word.

"Word could not read this document. It may be corrupt...."

or

You receive the following error message from WWI

"E999 General error occurred (Too many '{') ..." or

Maybe the problem is occur if wwires32.dll     See the  Note 1658925 & 568302 - EH&S WWI: Report bodies contain errors and availability of patches information

A correction is available in EH&S WWI 3.2/2.7B Support Package 28. Import this Support Package or apply a more recent patch immediately. you could get it through  SAP  market place.

Install the new  patches or SP 28 on the WWI server and try to regenerate the affected report. it  will work.

to my knowledge SP 31 is available. recommended is alwas to use the last version. You need only to make sure that the same version is available on any gen server and any local client fo WWI development.

Dear Nishant

I am not sure if your doubts are correct. Can you show the WWI part (layout part) around "13ENG058"?

Can you show data situation in your system related to the layout (error part)? Can you show set up of gen variant?

I have as well doubts regarding the "logo" part. But without knowing the layout structure, data maintained etc. I can not provide further ideas etc.

Hi Chris,

The Logos are the client loogs which are not present in my WWI folder which is why it is giving error so it is known.

Well as of now we found that the issue is with the template as i am not able to simulate the same in QA. SAP has recommended to update the patch level of the WWI server to solve the issue. So as of now it is on hold as we are checking if it works with new version of the template. Will let you know the outcome or if i need any more help on this.
