MSDS, COA from SAP

Dear Experts,

Can i issue material safety data sheet (MSDS) and certificate of analysis from SAP? if yes, from where SAP will pick up required data?

Hi Mohamad,

Certificate of Analysis is purely a quality matter which you can create from SAP QM module with the test reports & other things.

When comes SDS (formerly MSDS) which deals with Safety Data Sheet of the material.Product information, composition & safe handling, regulations etc, you can get all this by SAP EHS BDT & PS.

You can Generate MSDS by using EHS module & Certificate of Analysis(COA) will be generate by using SAP QM module

Hello Mohamed,

As a follow up to Chris' correct answer, we don't have enough information to help you. To help simplify the link he posted, WWI is a template tool that pulls data from the Specification Database (EHS-  Product Safety module) and other locations to create MSDS' and other documents. From here you could use Report Shipping to send the documents to clients or to your plants, etc.

not sure what you would like to achieve. The MSDS is generated using EHS functionality (check e.g. ). Check as Well SAP EHS onlinehelp) The analysis of certificate can be handled differen but in principle you can handle as well this document in EHS (e.g. as Inbound or as WWI generated document)

Without knowing the business background of your question no further help is possible.
