Hello,
Our business uses the import functionality of a Microsoft Project (Client) file into cProjects using the most basic configuration. (Our configuration matches what is described in the PowerPoint attachment of note 958210.) Our users have made an additional request, however, and I am trying to find a way to import text into the description field of a task or the notes field of a task. Is there a way to import into the cprojects description field using the existing configuration options?
If this option does not exist, does anyone know if this business request can be fulfilled by using the BAdi (Change Project Plan Data in cProjects and Microsoft Project)?
Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Wendy

Hi Wendy,
Which text you want to import
You can try passng the value to field Description
For any other custom mapping you can try using BADi: DPR_MSP_CUST_FIELDSPlz give more inputs, im not sure if i have un'stood the qn

Hello,
I wish to further refine my question.
In looking at the field mapping configuration for Base System Object PDMP (Project Definition - MS P Client) and Sub Object MT (Task - MS P Client), there are 5 values for each entry.
Sub Object Field Name
cProjects Object
cProjects Object Description
cProjects Object Field Name
Rule ID
One of my entries is already
NAME
PTCP
Task (cProjects)
DESCRIPTION
<blank>
This object field name "Description" apparently is really the "Project Element Name" when you look at the short text for the field name.
My users would like to be able to import text into the description field that you see on the basic data tab of a project element. If this is not an option, they would also be interested in importing to the notes field on the notes tab. These fields do not seem to be available in my search help for "cProjects Object Field Name" (4th value in a configuration entry).
Is there a way that I can configure the mapping when my desired fields do not seem to be an option? Do I need to resort to using the BAdi DPR_MSP_CUST_FIELDS, method CUST_CONVERT_MSPINT2DPR?
Thank you,
Wendy
