Hi All

I need a clarification on the Value Assignment Types assigned in the property tree for getting  the full scope of risk assessment through Measurement method. In help.sap.com http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/11/9f0c32a0a5cb49bb7a848f8f44ce9f/content.htm its mentioned that we need to maintain the below VAT's to use the full scope of functions of the measurement management component;

• Occupational threshold limit values with information on regulatory list
• Measurement method with determination type
• Molar mass
• Summated value group
• Density

Please explain purpose of maintaining them and also a brief note on each VAT.

Hi John,

first you check the configuration settings under measurement projects -

SPRO > Environment, Health and Safety > Industrial Hygiene and Safety > Measurement management > Measurement Projects > Assign Display fields to Agent Characteristics

Here you can map the fields Vs. Value assignment types and characteristics.

when you dealing with the Measurement project - CBIHM2, under each project, you can choose work area. by choosing this the agents will be updated, by clicking "all agents", if you want to deal the project with all agents.

At same time you can deal with the couple of objects here like log sheets, measurements,  device lists, etc.,

whenever you are selecting the Agent, the Agent related data will be updated to the project tables according to the above configuration. (If the data has been maintained in Agent work bench).

Main intention of this is to reduce re-entering the values.

You can find the standard value assignment types under -

SPRO > Environment, Health & Safety > Basic Data and Tools > Specification Management > Specificatio Database structure > Settings for Value Assignment > Specify value assignment types.

Measurement Method - SAP_EHS_1013_060

Density - SAP_EHS_1013_005

Molar Mass - SAP_EHS_1013_037

Summated Value Group - SAP_EHS_1023_040

Occupational Exposure Limits - SAP_EHS_1023_006

YOu can check the above value assignment types, using the transaction CL02, class type as 100.....what are the characteristics maintained under each class.

and how these characteristics mapped to each field in measurement project.

For ex -

Under measurement projects, if you could generate measurements......

measurement method (field - METHOD) will be updated from the agent properties.

i.e., value assignment type - SAP_EHS_1013_060 and the charactersitic - SAP_EHS_1013_060_METHOD

You can setup the agent property tree with the above mentioend value assignment types and create  a measurement project. you can see the impact, how it being updated in the transactrion CBIHM2 from the agent workbench.
