Hi,
Is there any standard functionality in ECC that provides a hitlist or report based on the criterion and result presented below:
Search criterion: CAS number or UN number
Search result: A table with the folowing column headers (Material number | Material Description | Plant | Storage location |)
Any kind of response is appreciated!
Request clarification before answering.
Hello Gustav
to my knowledge there is no such functionality available. The following functionality exists:
=> get a hit list in CG02 based on UN or CAS number => prepare a new output variant to get matnumber and mat description; (based on HItlist in CG02 !) in most cases no direct link to plant/storagelocation possible (only if you use further EHS& submodules !! and even if you use that potential approach you will only an info regarding plant not sotrage locationj)) (but as you must create a customer specific output variant and if EH&S and ERP part is in the same SAP system (even if not you could think of RFC call to logistic system to get infos regarding plant/Storage location)
=> PLease check module EHS-HSM (Hazardous substance master) => here you (potentially) have the link between matnumber/description and location but no search sunctionaolity as required
=> Use the SAP standard approach of "Extraktors" in BW. You can extract EH&S data to BW. At the same time you can extaract logistic data to BW (matnumber/plat/storage location link) and ge´nerate a query based on CAS or UN NUmber
=> please check EHS-DG module (UN numbers are part of DG management)
Proposals from my side: on the "long term" the BW approach is very useful. The output variant approach is "standard"
with best regards
CB
PS: plase take a look here too:
EH&S IH => here you can generate / prepare exposure logs which contain infos regarding mat number etc. and location but to my knowledge no query like you described is possible
