Mass upload / creation of Value Assignment

Hello,

For custom property trees, we have a requirement of creating 300 value assignments.

Is there any way for mass creation of value assignments in IMG activity: Specify Value assignment types?

Have these value assignments in other system in different landscape. Can it be downloaded from that system and uploaded in our system?

Dear Niraj

you mean value assignment types (properties)? To my knowledge no "direct" mass update is possible. But may be using some clever trick you might get a result. If you check "Best practise" approach then you realize that you could use "BC SET" technique to import customizing

Regarding your second question: by using the same tool i believe you can "transfer" customizing from one system to the other or you can try to use a "cross transport" from one system to the other (a standard technique used)

I have knowledge of BC sets, but was not aware if we can use for Specify Value assignment type creation. Will try this option.

Hello All,

Have resolved the issue of mass upload of Value assignment types using the BC sets.

Have used the functionality of creating BC set from IMG activity and then importing the BC set into the other system and it worked.
