Mapping of multiple UOM for actuals in CPM Workbook

Hi,

Our requirement is to have actual postings in SAP to be shown in a single row in the workbook so that forecasting can be done. Business Example Labour Hours are always planned with UOM HR but in Actual it may come as HR as well as DAY. Similarly with a Non Labour Resource Planning UOM is ST(items) but actual posting may come in ST or EA or AU.

We checked with SAP as the standard behaviour shows the Resources in different rows for each different UOM for actual and SAP has reverted that there is no solution for this.

Have anybody come across such a scenario? How to deal with this?

CPM Forecasting is an extension of CPM Financial Planning. The records are saved at the row level (i.e., Resource Type, Resource, UOM, Transaction Currency, etc.) There is CPM configuration to match up the actual cost postings to the planned rows. If a match can't be made the actual rows will show without plan data.

The whole function of the forecast is to make adjustments to the ETC and EAC Values from knowledge of the project progress.

To do what you want you will need a custom forecasting workbook with a custom forecasting query that doesn't list any of the key characteristics and only the key fields. Watch out for mixed currencies. You need to really think about how you will save the forecast data.

I have not heard of this requirement previously.
