have seen a new status getting assigned to maintenance orders "JBFI" in S/4 HANA. This propably hapes at the stage of the work order life cycle when the order if confirmed or Technically closed.
The Status "JBFI" described as "JOB FINISHED". I search for literature or explanation on this status, why it is set and the effect it has on work order, but didn't come across any.
Kindly let us know why this status is set or introduced in S4 HANA and any business function that needs to be activated to set this status on WO.

Hi,

You will get a better response if you tag your posts with: LM Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)/Plant Maintenance (PM)

That status isnt in my non-s4 system, so it does appear to be Fiori/S4 functionality, - have a look at this OSS Note: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2619378

Try to learn SAP Enterprise Asset Management ERP and S/4HANA

With IW38 and IW37N one can perform mass change of objects. With this new functionality some more system status has been added to it.

Dear Prerna

If you known the answer, share it here. This is a knowledge sharing forum helping each other learn, unlearn and re-learn SAP. For your kind knowledge this is something very new in EAM world and is surely a new functionality with S4 version as I have stated in my question and as Peter acknowledged.

Your Quote "Try to learn SAP Enterprise Asset Management ERP and S/4HANA" Unquote.

Reply: I am in SAP EAM/PM world for 12 years now and certified in PM/PS/QM modules. Experienced with several hands on implementations / rollout / upgrade / support on R/3, ECC and S4 systems.

Even with lifetime experience no one can state he has full knowledge on SAP and we are all here for learning from one another. Kindly be just in your reply.

Reply: You need to know "System Status" is status controlled by SAP and set by system in the background when a particular transactions have been performed in foreground or background by user or system. It doesn't provide a user privilege's to set it. Its a system controlled status (BS22). "User Status" is a functionality provided by SAP to further control transactions behavior and state by user setting it upfront in several SAP objects. This is what can be set individually and in mass. Mass change is also for limited SAP standard fields and once set cannot be reset.
