Hello Saurabh,

I think rendering issues and navigation/launchpad issues are two very different things. Rendering issues are not application specific and it is often necessary to update United Rendering or even to implement a basis service pack to implement corrections for known issues. Launchpad customizing on the other hand should normally work "out of the box" and should not be impacted by e.g. some changes in WebDynpro basis or in browser versions (which are the kind of things which may typically cause rendering issues). If an issue with the standard launchpad customizing for PPM is identified, then an SAP Note will be created describing the corrections which need to be carried out in the customizing in order to resolve this issue (this will then typically be included in the next CPRXRPM support package).

If you have any questions concerning launchpad, then I would rather keep the communication via SAP Answers (as opposed to communicating directly), so that these may assist any other forum participants. I hope this is OK for you.

Thanks for sharing information.

Actually, I am facing a lot of rendering issues in PPM area and either their resolution goes into service pack level upgrade, Portal basis patch upgrade or some change in settings of LPD_CUST (like changing application parameter values) OR sometimes the combination of it all.

In more than 80% of cases an upgrade has addressed such UR issues. That's why this question popped-up in my mind.

Francesco, is it possible to send you a direct message? I think it is possible via some settings in our SCN profiles.

Hello Saurabh,

The Configuration Guidelines for PPM contain a little information about customizing activity "Set up Launchpads" (i.e. LPD_CUST). As this is mentioned in more than one section, the best thing is for you to search for term "launchpad" in the Configuration Guidelines PDF.

Beyond this, I am not aware of any documentation containing an overview of this information. If you have some specific question about how to use this customizing you could try asking here.
