I am new to EHS and looking for process documentation or basic config document on the mentioned component of EHS.

Hello

SAP online help is quite good here. So you should strat with the online help. Just take a look (Incident/Accident Management (EHS-IHS-IA) - Industrial Hygiene and Safety (EHS-IHS) - SAP Library). On the top: I believe thers is a "best practise document" in place (but i am not sure). Check may be: ;

Links to Best Practise documents are used quite often here. The application as such is discussed very rarely here. And it is "outdated". You should not invest time here but discuss with your customer. Teh new solution is described here:

Incident Management (EHS-MGM-INC) - Component Extension for SAP EHS Management - SAP Library

This is the new (and using "State of the art" technology) solution; it is recommended (because of SAP startegy) not to invest any money/time in the of solution. The old solution is not ! supported e.g. in S/4 HANA
