Dear Experts,
I am trying to load data from Excel through PCo Query in SAP MII.
I have configured the agent as a PCo Data Server in SAP MII and It is in a running status.
I have created an excel file (.xlsx) with some test data. Placed the file in a PCo server on a specific folder where the file monitoring source system is pointing to.
I have created a PCo query in MII workbench and trying to extract the data from Excel. I am getting an error message stating 'Character reference "" is an invalid XML character.'
Can you please help me to understand the cause for this issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Surender Kamaraj.

HI Surender,
Excel xlsx file is a compressed file that can contain a number of folders/files. I don't think you can query this type of file through a PCoQuery in MII. Even if you could get the file contents passed to MII there is not a way in MII to open the file and extract the workbook contents.
PCo has an OLEDB and ODBC Source systems that can be used to query an Excel xlsx spreadsheet workbook; they require that the related Microsoft components be installed on the PCo server. Please see the PCo help docs for more detail.
Regards, Steve
