LMAUTO hangs when trying to start

I'm following the instructions to setup SAP ME ODS scripts. When I run lmauto.bat, I successfully set the password, but then it hangs with the message "Please wait while application is launched...". I've let this run for over an hour but it never progresses.

Hi Barry,

not sure what LMAUTO is - if you refer to "Standalone Task Manager for Lifecycle Management Automation 1.0": this is deprecated since end of 2019, see SAP Note 1589311.

Thanks, Boris. Some of the documentation related to SAP ME Scripts installation refers to this. It's a little confusing.
