Link specification to existing SDS managed in DMS before EHS activated

Hello

SDS are already stored & managed in DMS for our client before EHS module has been activated.

We are starting our EHS / Reach project and we need to know if it possible to link specification for those

supplied material to those existing SDS in DMS or is it necessary to load them espacially during our project

implementation phase using the import vendor tool CG36VEN ?

Hello,

If client dont want to store them again using SAP EH&S (CG36VEN) it is possible to link the existing documents from DMS using Object link to SAP EH&S - Specification Header. For that you need to modify the existing Document type (Configuration change) to include SAP EH&S object (ESTRH). Then edit each Document Inforecords to reference ESTRH.

However it is useful to store them in EH&S for SOP creation and document distribution. (Using DMS also you can distribute) but it allows additional features.
