Hi All,
Is there a better way to extract large amount of data from GHS classification in CG02? I´m using Output button and selecting EMPTY > EXCEL and then, select GHS classification in Property Tree screen.
I read some threads about data extraction, but not related to GHS classification.
Thanks.
Igor
Hello
Only because of completeness: what is SAP 7 ? S/4 HANA ? If so: you should not use this term. Or do you use SAP ECC Enhancement Package 7 ? If so: please use a different term. "SAP 7" is not a good term.

Hello
the issue is the design of CG02. If you have e.g.10.000 objects or more: forget about the "EXCEL" variant if you try to do it in one run. You might get a "time out". So for the extraction of "huge" data: use the "Standard export" option. By using the "ALE" (as proposed by Satya): you need a "receiver"; and this receiver does not exist in most cases.
So at the end: the "output variant" as explained above can do the trick: BUT you must use a "blockwise" approach (and this is simple !). That means assuming you have 10.000 objects to check: split this in 10 blocks. With 1000 specifications in the hitlist it does work (i am using this very often). BUT you extract all data (there is no chance to "drill" down to e.g. "STANDARD/DE" data records but not "STANDARD/US").
So based on your demand: may be you need to prepare a new output variant to support the business need

PS: the format of the generated "EXCEL" can not be used "direct" to analyse data. Here you need may be help of somebody who loves "macros"; and then you can easily analyse the content of the EXCEL.
Be aware of the fact that "GHS Classification" contains (depending on situation) for the same country 3 - 5 times more data in comparion to "GHS Labeling"
Which SAP release do you use? I believe in "newer" version SAP has splitted the "GHS Classification" stuff in four regional properties ? But not 100% regarding this

Hello Igor,
It depends on what you do with this data for analysis of the data Excel outputs are helpful to load the data in another target system, .dat import and export is good, you can use ALE distribution as well.
Hope this helps.

Hello Igor,
If you want to extract into Excel that's the way to do it.
Best regards,
Ralph
