Label Copying - Generation Variation Problem

Hi Experts,

I have a problem here, when copied the label from Version 01 to Version 02, we need to create even a generation variant for the Version 02 also, as the generation variant is not copied along with the label. So when I create a new generation variant for Version 02 then I need to change the generation variant for all the materials which I have used in Version 01 using transaction MM02 for change of the material. I used say 20 materials in Version 01 then I need to change the generation variant for the 20 materials which is really complex.

Please let me know your ideas/suggestions on this so as to reduce the reworking on this.

Just change the version from 01 to 02 in the generation variant.

Hi Rafi,

There no need to create the New Generation Variant.

if the template with Ver 1.0 is assigned in GV, then change / update the GV with template ver 2.0.

This will save the effort to change the GV in all material Master.

pls revert incase of any further doubt..
