Issues with SAP_MII_USER , UME

Folks,

We recently moved from SAP MII 14.0.4 to SAP MII 14.0.7 and upgraded Netweaver (7.30 - > 7.31) from Oracle Database to DB2. After this we are observing that users with role SAP_MII_USER lost their ability to change their own password.

We compared the users on old and new(upgraded) systems and made sure that they are exactly the same. On the new system, when the users try change password using UME - End User App (/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~sec~ume~wd~enduser/UmeEnduserApp), they receive an error

message :  "An error occurred, contact your system administrator"

Any thoughts on why this is occurring and how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

Apparently, it was an issue with the "Manage Own Password" privilege missing from the SAP_MII_USER Role.. Adding it fixed the issue. Thanks
