Issue with HTML5 Version Viewer

Hello Folks,

I just downloaded the SAP3DVisualEnterpriseApplicationsSDKv2_1. in this SDK, i'm trying to run the HTML5 example file index.html.

i get a blank screen when i open this file in a browser. any idea why ?

i'm on Chrome 40.0.2214.111 (64-bit) and MAc OS X 10.10.2.

any help..highly appreciated.

Hi Pramod,

I know you have resolved this issue via e-mail, but for other people reading this:

"The first thing most people do is to try and open this file in a browser directly off disk. This seldom works, because the index.html references JavaScripts in the resources folder and any good browser won’t let a file you downloaded from the internet go off and load files from elsewhere on your hard-drive! The best approach is to map ‘ViewerSamples’ as a local internet site (which gives it implicit permission to load other files) and open it from a URL e.g. http://localhost:8080/index.html

If you do want to load directly off disk then you will need to disable web security for your browser. This varies for different browsers, but for chrome the steps are 1) Close all other instances of Chrome 2) start chrome with “--disable-web-security” flag e.g. “[Path to Chrome]/chrome.exe --disable-web-security”. Do not set this as your default chrome shortcut as it is dangerous!" you should only do this if you are happy that you trust the source of the file.
