Dear experts,

Is it necessary to use mes-driven staging if I want to consume material in DM via EWM goods issue?

In the diagram, MES inventory is created through Warehouse Request and Warehouse task.
By the way, you can just skip staging request and creating warehouse request to download inventory to DM.

So, I was wondering it's possible to consume material in DM without MES-driven staging.

Hi, Koichi Okamoto, Thank you for your interest in DM-EWM integration. It is not necessary to use MES-driven staging in the integration business process of DM and EWM. MES-driven staging means that you can trigger staging request from DM through Manage Staging app or EWM staging APIs which is sent to EWM to create warehouse request and then warehouse task. Since the integration of DM and EWM supports the inventory synchronization, the stock movement operations in EWM for production will also be synchronized to the inventory in DM, and then you can still get the inventory in DM and consume it via EWM goods issue.

Thank you for answering. That was really helpful. I heard someone said it's necessary, so I needed to check that. Thank you.
