Dear All
I need a plan very urgent !
All my previous projects during Implementations SAP EHSM, I have users mostly sitting at corporate office or either IT buildings are within plant premises so it was easy to approach them for Requirements gathering workshops sessions and so on by walking to plants to meet .
Now my current project cases are different all SME's of EHS/HSE departments are at plant site where approx 80kms away from corporate office.
How do I avoid to travel that along, once in wile is fine. How do I collect the requirements sitting at Corporate office ? Any strategies please let me know.
And big challenge is bring core members under once umbrella from different plants, Approx 5 Plants
Thanks
Sri Sri

Dear Sri Sri
it is very common today that you can not get into personally with people to gather requirements.
The methods, tools etc. to collect requirements (regarding IT implementation) are explained in many locations in internet..
General recommendation is:
1.) you need some body from "higher management" to support you. Reason: any "IT software introduction" can be "change" for the human being and some resistance could come up
2.) you need a project manager to manage such a "project". You need to identify e.g. key persons to use in collecting requirements; the best is to find persons who "talk" IT language" and can act as facilitator
3:) there are lot of "IT stuff" out there which can support you in doing the job (of many kind: video, audio, chat tools etc.)
Only as a starter to the many many many methods, tools and techniques you can usee.g. check:

To make it short: you can use many sucessful methods, tools, and techniques to gather requirements even if the people are not located at your location.; but if you are not experienced in dealing with such a situation (as in yours): you should look for persons who know what to do.. you save money and time; and, as mentioned, your situation is now common in our broad IT environment
