Invalid reference value in field SOURCE for standard composition (ZEXP_COMP)

Dear Community,

When trying to run the standard composition rule on real substance level, I get an error message saying "Invalid reference value in field SOURCE". I read SAP note 1106047, which is a good starting point but doesn't contain what I need.

Based on the error it seems I need to maintain a value in customizing activity Specify Sources, but I don't have any idea of what to put there. I tried to put a source like ZEXP_COMP but it didn't prevent the error.

As far as I know the standard composition is not based on any literature source, reglist,... it's merely a drill down to discover the components and list its quantities.

Any help is much appreciated. You'll probably have the answer in your SAP system already...

Problem is solved: the source "EHS-Expert" was missing in the configuration.

Sounds a bit odd. Did you check whether the data origin ZEXP_COMP is maintained?

I had the data origin error before this one, and added it manually (see screenshot).
