Dear All,

I tried to write the data to the INTOUICH via the UDS and Tag Query configuration using CurrentWrite Mode.

But it shows the Error Message u201C<TagName>.failed[]u201D. But I am able to reading the datau2019s from the INTOUCH (Tag Values).

Please help me to solve the problem.

Regards,

Murali A

I don't think the InTouch connector has been updated in quite a few years, but if you have problems, you might want to consider using the OPC UDS with the Wonderware Factory Suite Gateway (it creates an OPC <-> Wonderware bridge).

If you are using OPC for this connectivity, then you should use the OPC 4.0 UDS and attempt this with an OPC-DA connection, and not use the old 2.5 version.

Jeremy thanks for the reply,

Now I am using OPC 4.0 UDS and OPC DA connection and my MII Data Server shows the connection status is Running and Number of available connection is 1 .

In tag query, Available groups also coming but the tags are not loading it shows the error in popup like "xMII UDS Host has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

How can i solve this issue?

Thanks in adavance

Per the UDS 2.5 help docs InTouch section which you may have neglected:

Write Mode

The connector can also write to InTouch tags using the write mode. The UDS must be enabled for write mode in the Lighthammer CMS Server Editor for this functionality to be exposed. If the InTouch application is running as an application (as opposed to a service), the write mode will not work unless you run the UDS as an application, as well. See the Administration Guide for information on running the UDS as an application.

Murali,

did you checked the Writable flag in the Data Server Connector for your Intouch instance?

Which version of Intouch you are trying to connect? Which MII and UDS Version you are using?

Regards.

I am not that familiar with INTOUCH, but you need to make sure the UDS and the historian both allow data to be written.

Good Luck,

Mike
