Incident reporting -Location and HR related information Entries

Hello Friends

I have one question related to Incident Reporting. During Incidenent Reporting, I am not able to see any entries in Location. Can you please help me understand where I need to maintain the location details ?

Also there should be integration between HR master to EHSM I belive to select the reporter name, Witness name, Injured name. Can you please help me understand where these entried need to be maintained ? Presently am not able to get anything in these fields.

Pls refer the following figure for details. Appriciate if some one can help me. This may be a Basic question..

Hi Sudharshan,

Did you customize the location types (in Foundation for EHS Management) and location classifications (in Incident Management) ? Or did you integrate with PM ?

For the integration between HR and EHSM, did you customize the points in Human Resources Integration in Foundation for EHS Management ?

Hello Philippe,

Appriciate for your quick response. I had ticked on for the integration with PM.

For Location types, There are 5 values in the "Maintenance View of the Location Type" in Foundation as shown below

For Location Classification in Incident, I have the following values in SPRO

For HR Integration, I dont have referance document which can help me integrate. Can you please help me ?

Hello Sudharshan,

Concerning the locations, did you activate the business function LOG_EAM_SIMPLICITY ? Did you specify Number Range intervals for the location IDs ?

For HR, in one of the integration customizing points you have a box to check. I'll try to find the document.

Thanks for your input.I was looking to add locations in SPRO but understood later that it is something which can be done in NWBC only. Hence my first question related to adding location is solved. However, I am still working on addding locations from PM module and in this regard I have activated the Business Function LOG_EAM_SIMPLICITY. I will look how to specify number range for the location ID's.

For Integrating to HR, Request to help me with more details as mentioned in your previous response.

Did you check the customizing points in SAP EHS Management --> Incident Management --> Integration --> Human Resources Integration ?

Hi SM,

To appear Locations list on your drop down you have to create them in the system. To create Location follow the steps below.

Click on

  1. 1. Locations under Overview on your Left
  2. Manage structure
  3. Select Location structure and click on create

You can create Locations as plant specific and also create them in hierarchial fashion.
