Incident Manager workflow in EHSM incident management with multiple plants

Hello EHSM experts,

I would like to get your advice to understand some basics about the automatic workflow to Incident Manager when an incident is reported. Using the standard SAP process definitions with automatic workflow triggering, I understand that once the incident has been successfully logged, the responsible Incident Managers are notified. Incident Managers are those with the SAP_EHSM_HSS_INCIDENT_MANAGER role.

In a scenario where there are multiple plants, each plant having one or more separate Incident Managers, is it possible to restrict incident notification to the Incident Manager responsible for the location where the incident occurred? Or is the standard SAP design such that the system would identify the correct incident manager using the HR organisational structure and location of the incident, and then send the notification?

I read in a book that the SAP_EHSM_HSS_INCIDENT_MANAGER role can be made location specific using the EHHSS_INC5 (Incident by Location) authorization object and the LOCAUTHGRP field. If so, do I need to create separate plant-specific roles, such as Z_SAP_EHSM_HSS_INCIDENT_MANAGER_PlantA, PlantB, etc., and then manually assign the roles to Incident Management tasks for each plant, using the LOCAUTHGRP field?

. If so, do I need to create separate plant-specific roles, such as Z_SAP_EHSM_HSS_INCIDENT_MANAGER_PlantA, PlantB, etc., and then manually assign the roles to incident management tasks for each plant, using transaction PFTC_CHG? (The list of tasks is available in the R_EHHSS_CONFIG_TASK_ROLES report documentation).

We'll have our S/4 HANA system soon, but I'm doing the groundwork.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Please specify the S4 version you will be implementing. The way these Incident Manager notifications/assignments are handled is very different between ECC/EHSM (and S4 versions before 1809) and S4 1809 and higher.

The way these Incident Manager notifications/assignments are handled in S4 1809 and higher is based on "Location Role" assignments in the Location Structure. The PFTC_CHG role assignment is no longer used for this workflow process. If your Location Structure is designed in a way that distinguishes between Plant A and Plant B, you can easily accomplish your requirement using standard configuration and the Location master data object.

 hello

Nous prendrons en compte que la version que nous allons implémenter est la version S/4 HANA.
