Incident / Accident managment link with Project system -WBS element

hi

We are working on a scenario of Incident /Accident management solution for a project based company.

Requirement here is to identify Incident /Accident reported for project site.

Does anyone know any BAdI / BAPI through which we can assign Project header WBS element from Project system to the Incident /Accidnet management in CBIH82? So that we can list our no. of incident /Accident happened for that particular project.

Hi Niraj,

If we are not able to find any BAdI / BAPI, may be we can use creation of class and charecteristic and assigning it to one of the tab pages in the incident accident log. The Project header WBS element from Project system can be assigned through the check table functionality of the charecteristic.

But to search all incidents that have taken place on a particular project, I think there is no other alterntive other than development.

ok coming to ur query

in one of my project, i faced same challenge, they want project wise, incident records

at least how many records of which category in particular project

for this , i have used AUTHGRP filed in work area, for e.g if there are 3 projects BC, PQR, XYZ then 3 auth grps required, which will be entered while creating work area hoerarchy for taht particular project site.

then while creating incidnet accidnet log for project site for e.g ABC , i made workarea filed in IAL mandatory, using standard user exi

Enhanced field check for incident/accident log in create and change mode

IHS_IALCHK

IAL_CHECK

CBIH_LB14_IAL_UPD_CRE_CHECK

now this will giv u search for IAL in CBIH83, in extended search for IAL wrt work area, enter ABC or PQR or XYZ, it will search IAL recprds cretaed for particular project.

advantage of using this auth grp filed is person from project ABC can create IAL in project ABC only not in PQR project

Coming to the issue:

It seems good work around, just one doubt.

Everytime a new project is created, I have to create Authorization group in customizing. If so, it will be a tedious task for the user community.

In that case I would rather prefer to create a Work area for each project, and as you have suggsted, can make the work area field mandatory in IAL.

So when I search report in CBIH83 I can see the inc / Acc reports for that work area.

Suggest me if any alternative solution is available.
