IDBC (SQL type) data server for HANA DB

Dear Experts,

We have created an IDBC data server of SQL type in MII 15.4 SP0 to connect to a HANA 2.0 DB, however it is just going into error state. We have 2 different servers for MII and HANA DB. We are able to connect to the DB from standalone client.

Steps taken so far:

1. Installed JDK in MII server

2. Deployed ngdbc.jar in MII application (this is deployed in HANA DB server with the installation)

3. Created data server in MII as detailed in the links above.

Error we get: java.lang.Throwable: Cannot create a connection to the database

Pointers on what and how we can check further to fix this are appreciated.

The first document you referenced shows an example of code to modify the classpath for the connection. Did you do something along the lines of what they suggested?

Hi Mike,

Can you please confirm if you are referring to point #2 in Procedure? If so, let me confirm that we should be adding ngdbc.jar in the CLASSPATH environment variables?
