How to split a big project in small projects

Hi,

Can be a big cprojects project (withy more than 1000 objects) splitted in several small projects? All these projects could be related to one item?

Hi,

May be you can use the sub project functionality, wherein main Project can be created from Item and sub project for task breakdown created separately and assigned back to main project task.

I am not sure if this suits your requirement. Please elaborate if you are looking something specific.

Hi Pramod,

The point is that for SAP recommendations PPM can not support more than 1000 objects in one projects because performance issues and use the sub project functionality as you said could be a possibility.

We know that almost all our projects will have more than 1000 objects. So, we need the best solution to face that. I do not know if working with sub project functionality is the one. Do you have any documentation? how can be programmed a project with subprojects in tasks?

Is there any other recomendation to be evaluated?
