How to increase the field length of J_3ASIZE

Dear Experts,

We are in AFS ERP 6.0, EHP 7 and use two dimensional matrix in AFS materials- Three for colour and five for size. Total field length of J_3ASIZE is eight characters. ( PFA the enclosed image 2D)

1) Can we increase the field length of J_3ASIZE to 16 from the present eight ? If yes, How ?

2) We need to change the material metrix from two dimension to three dimension. ( Size , colour and Price ).Does it create any inconsistancies ? ( PFA the enclosed image 3D)

3) Can I use three dimesion material matrix for new products without changing the existing two dimension materials ?
