hari,

xMII does NOT come with any databses. It CONNECTS to them and a multitude of other sources. Is this your first exposure to xMII? If so please look through the forum as there is plenty of information.

Also check out the xMII WIKI: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/xmii/main&;

To answer your question:

1) NO! Northwind does not come as default with xMII. You have to install MIcrosoft SQL Server in order to have it available to connect to it.

Hope this helps. If this answered your question please mark this post as Answered and award any points.

Thank You,

Thanks Alin,

It seems we don't get any kind of data base with installation.

I undergone XMII training through sap education . i remember the trainer said the installation comes with simulator(for tag queries),north wind for sql data base.

May be the trainer given wrong info.

Hi, Hari.

What version of SQL Server are you running? Northwind came with older versions (7.0 and 2000), but not with newer versions. A quick google search of "where is northwind" yielded this:

http://blog.sqlauthority.com/2007/05/23/sql-server-2005-northwind-database-or-adventureworks-databas...

I highly recommend leveraging all resources such as Google and SDN search. Many times the answers are readily accessible using these mechanisms.
