how to get text-information( mara?makt??

hello

I want to get "maktx" from Ecc and set it on Drop-down list(in Xmii).

but I cannot know how to get "maktx". Are there bapi and rfc to get it in Ecc? or any other way?

Hi Kenji,

You could try the following BAPI to get the material description:

BAPI_MATERIAL_GET_DETAIL

If you did not like this BAPI returning lot of unnecessary data, you could use the following RFC to query the material description by querying the MARA table:

RFC_READ_TABLE

do you know any Bapi or RFC that can get werks-text or LGORT_D-text(=LGOBE)?

Hi Kenji,

You could use the same RFC

RFC_READ_TABLE

to get the werks-text, if you don't find any BAPI.
